THE JCPA AWARD for the 'BEST COMPARATIVE POLICY PAPER' at the APSA CONFERENCE

Congratulations to Doctors Natalia Bueno, Felipe Nunes, and Cesar Zucco, on their paper “Benefits by luck: A study of lotteries as a selection method for government programs” which was presented at the APSA Conference 2024. They are the winners of the recent JCPA Award for Best Comparative Policy Paper granted by the JCPA in collaboration with our partner association, the American Political Science Association Public Policy Section, on September 5th, 2024 in Philadelphia.

The winner has been awarded an AWARD CERTIFICATE by JCPA and Routledge, and a $500 monetary prize, thanks to the contributions of our International Institutional Members. The winner will be extended a priority publication slot upon submission of an article based on the winning conference paper and its acceptance following the standard JCPA reviewing process.

TSINGHUA WORKSHOP ON COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF URBAN GOVERNANCE AND POLICY

The Scholarly Society for International Comparative Policy Analysis (SSICPA), JCPA and Tsinghua University are now accepting submissions for our upcoming workshop “Comparative Analysis of Urban Governance and Policy” to be held on December 16-17, 2024 in Beijing at the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University.

THE São Paulo WORKSHOP ON POLICY PROCESS RESEARCH

(SP-WOPPR)

The workshop is designed for graduate students and postdocs and will feature three short streams: Advocacy Coalitions, Transnational Policy Processes, and Narrative Policy Framework Analysis.

JCPA 25th ANNIVERSARY FREE ONLINE SPECIAL ISSUE

25 Years of Research in Comparative Policy Analysis

Edited by Professor Guillaume Fontaine, JCPA Co-editor, and Dr. Shawn Drake, JCPA Executive Director, this celebratory Free ONLINE Special Issue published for JCPA’s 25th Anniversary, is a collection of 25 most visible articles in the JCPA over the last two and a half decades—divided by and highlighting four types of comparative policy analysis methodology.

We welcome Dr. Sebahat Derin ATISKAN, who has been appointed as the Associate Executive Director of the Society and the JCPA. She will oversee the coordination with the JCPA office at Tsinghua University and between the JCPA editors, associate editors and Routledge.

We are happy to welcome back Diana Walker, M.A., our former Assistant to the Editors, in her new key role as Associate Treasurer of the JCPA and SSICPA. She will be working closely with the President, Executive Director, Institutional Members, Host Institution, Routledge/Taylor&Francis, and Bank and Legal Representatives of the Society.
