Congratulations To The Winner Of The Appam And ICPA-forum Best Comparative Paper Award

The ICPA-Forum Scholarly Society and the Joint International Adjudication Committee of APPAM and the Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis, including Antonia Maioni (McGill University, Chair), Beryl Radin (Georgetown University), Marleen Brans (Leuven University), and Guillaume Fontaine (The Latin Faculty for Social Sciences, FLASCO) congratulates APPAM and ICPA-Forum Best Comparative Paper Award to:

Dr. Jason Heyes
Sheffield University Management School, United Kingdom

for his paper
“Toward a Comparative Analysis of Labour Administration Systems”

The committee said the following about the paper:

“The paper presents a fine review on the comparative differences in labour administration, and may serve as a resource for other, more narrowly focused research. The paper provides the basis for a framework that might be used in other systems beyond labour administration and it might be consulted and cited for more specialised research.”

We extend our thanks to the committee members for their service, and to Tara Sheehan, Executive Director of APPAM, for making the award possible.

JCPA Launches New Free To Access Virtual Special Issue On Comparative Health Policy

JCPA Executive Editor Leslie A. Pal has curated a free access virtual special issue on comparative health policy. Health care is one of the single largest policy fields for any government. It is central to the modern welfare state, and a field that demands comparative policy analysis. Over the years, the JCPA has published leading articles on different aspects of comparative health policy analysis. To make it easier for researchers in the field, we have compiled a list of these papers and made them completely free to access until 31 December 2016. Read the collection here.
